The Canvas Factory

Have you ever wanted to showcase one of your favourite photos in such a way all your family and friends can enjoy? How about getting one of your travel photos printed onto a canvas, so it can be hung in a prominent place within your home or office?

We were recently approached by a company called “The Canvas Factory” to do a review on their photo canvases. They offer a large range of canvas sizes, in different formats, single canvas prints, canvas split image, canvas wall displays and canvas collages, as well as being able to print on acrylic glass and brushed aluminium.

If you are looking for a particular style of art work to complement your home or office, “The Canvas Factory” has over 20 million images to choose from. All the images are categories to make searching and selecting a little easier.

TheCanvasFactory02The ordering process is quick and simple. Navigate to The Canvas Factory then follow the on-screen prompts to choose the material, size and shape. Once that’s done, upload your photo, and resize it to fit the frame. Once you’re satisfied with the image size and placement, you can then proceed to the checkout.

We selected the smaller 45 x 30cm photo canvas as I had a particular picture and location in mind. I went online, uploaded the picture, all done. We were emailed an order confirmation and a tracking code. A little while later the well packaged artwork was delivered to our home address.

The frame is well constructed from dark stained timber with no twisting, bending or warping. A nice little touch to help protect the wall is a strip of black felt running around the perimeter of the frame. A multi-step picture mount is attached to the frame to assist in hanging. The quality of the print is fine and as good as can be expected, but with all canvas prints, don’t expect it to look like a glossy photograph, as they wont and shouldn’t. Photo canvases are designed to look like artwork and our sample certainly meets that criteria.

Overall I was very happy with the finished product, ticking all boxes when it comes to quality, price and delivery time.

We were provided a code to order our complimentary canvas, but our review is based on our honest and truthful sentiments.

Have you converted any of your travel photos to a canvas? Is this something you would consider now you’ve seen how easy it is?

I have done turned some of my travel photos into beautiful canvas pieces to hang. I get compliments, but also they tend to be such a conversation starter. I can’t wait to do it again with some of my more recent photos from Patagonia and SE Asia! #theweeklypostcard
